Come on enough is enough.
The intersection of Island Point Road and the Princes Highway is well past its used by date when it comes to tax paying motorists waiting to see action.
There has been some great suggestions and comments from the community regarding the issue, one of which keeps raising its head is that many motorists don’t understand why that intersection is such a problem.
The RTA it seems has the same problem – consequently we now have the installation of crash cameras.
Set up to record incidents from which RTA staff will work out exactly what is going on and needs to be done to fix it.
That intersection has now completely psyched me out. I can honestly say I’m more cautious there than at any other in the region.
I’m determined not to become an Island Point Road statistic.
Which I guess brings me to the other point I wanted to make, as motorist we all have the power to chose when we pull out onto the highway.
Chose extra carefully, it may be some time before we see major improvement.
