New service for Koori parents

23/07/2008 8:36:00 AM
THE Child Support Agency has launched a new website for indigenous separated parents at www.indigenous.csa.gov.au

The site provides information about child support, including a step-by-step guide to registering a child support case, links to support products and services and a list of coming regional and community visits by CSA staff.

CSA general manager Matt Miller said the agency was working hard to ensure indigenous separated parents were fully informed about their rights and responsibilities.

“The development of the website demonstrates our commitment to fulfilling the CSA Reconciliation Action Plan,” Mr Miller said.

Separated parents who would like to discuss their child support options can visit one of the CSA’s offices or Regional Service Centres listed on the website at www.csa.gov.au, or call 131 272. Indigenous parents can ask to speak to one of the CSA’s indigenous officers if it makes them feel more comfortable.

12:50 PM AEST | When I heard that some obscure woman from Alaska had been selected as the Republican Party's vice-presidential nominee, my first reaction was not to check the cable news channels, or even the internet news sites. No, my first reaction was to go to YouTube.
