Tigers on track for back-to-back championships

THE South Coast Security Shoalhaven State League Tiger women have taken another step towards back-to-back titles with a commanding 37-point win over the Wagga Wagga Blaze in a State quarter final on Saturday night.

In front of a big local crowd at the Tigers Den, the Tigers were merciless winning 87-50.

The Blazer were never really in the game, they trailed 25-11 at quarter time and were down by 31 at the main break 50-19.

The Tigers led 75-33 at three quarter time before rounding out a solid 37 point win.

Kelly Hannett led the locals’ scoring with 15, but six of the side’s 11 players registered double points for the match.

The Tigers now have a three week break before the final series which is being played in Terrigal on August 9-10 and it looks at this stage they will face the Tamworth Thunderbolts in the State semi-final.
