THE Shoalhaven Racing Pigeon Federation’s second race from Mallacoota in Victoria was held last Saturday.
A distance of 310 kilometres to Nowra and 255kms to Ulladulla.
All up 645 birds were liberated at 9.30am in a light north-west breeze. The fastest pigeon in the federation this week was once again flown by I and J Price of the Invitation Club and the best bird into Ulladulla was flown by G Sullivan and Son from the Ulladulla Club.
Sullivan and Son also took out first prize in the Federation Breeders Plate, for nominated yearling birds only.

Central Club - 1st C Ganderton 1323 metres/minute velocity, 2nd Matthews Family 1321, 3rd S Longfield 1320.
Invitation Club - 1st I and J Price 1330 metres/minute velocity, 2nd P Boardman 1318, 3rd G Lee 1314.
Ulladulla Club - 1st Sullivan and Son1317 metres/minute velocity, 2nd P Edwards 1308, 3rd R Curtis 1294.
Ulladulla Invitation Club - 1st B Quinn 1313 metres/minute velocity, 2nd Smith and Eastcott 1310, 3rd C and L Hickey 1289.
Federation Breeders Plate results: 1st Sullivan and Son 1317, 2nd Sullivan and Son 1316, 3rd Sullivan and Son 1297, 4th M Barton 1294, 5th R Curtis 1269, 6th M Barton 1202, 7th M Barton 1202.
Tomorrow is the third and final race from Mallacoota before the birds jump approximately 100kms to the next race point, Lakes Entrance.
