FORMER Sussex Inlet motocross rider Matt Moss took out double State titles at the Rockstar Energy Drink NSW MX Championship at Cessnock last week.
The 20-year-old was only defeated once in the three rounds of competition, to take out both the NSW Lites and the NSW Open categories on his Suzuki RM-Z250.
“I feel great, I actually haven’t won a State title for a while, I always seem to get injured,” Moss said.
“The track was great.
“It’s just such a great series, I can’t wait to come back next year and try and do the same.”
After breaking his wrist in round one of the championships Moss dominated the Pro Lites in moto two of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals at Port Macquarie.
He lead from start to finish and was 10 seconds ahead of the second placed rider.
Moss was not the only local success, 15-year-old Ben Hussey, from Worrigee was one of 300 junior riders to compete in the championship and took out the NSW 85cc 14/U16 years title.
Over the past three months the riders contested the Rockstar Energy Drink NSW MX Championship rounds in Lithgow, Port Macquarie and Cessnock.
