THERE is something special about finals time in
any sport.
And this weekend three competition champions will be decided.
The VB South Coast Group 7 Rugby League minor premiership will be decided in this weekend’ s final round.
The Shoalhaven Jets currently sit on top of the ladder, albeit on for and against with Shellharbour City.
Both sides have big games to wrap up their seasons – the Sharks head south to take on Batemans Bay, who although they have struggled in 2008 will be keen to finish the season on the high.
The Jets, who would complete a fairytale debut to claim the minor premiership in its first season, have a tougher assignment they come up against fellow semi-finalists Milton-Ulladulla at the Nowra Showground.
Also plenty of interest in the Shoalhaven Football first grade, where the competition championship is up for grabs as well.
Illaroo and St Georges Basin are locked together in first place on 44 points and remarkably they face each other in the final round tomorrow.
The Roos are ahead on goal difference, but this should be a cracking clash
at Sharman Park.
Likewise the South Coast AFL final round is also being staged this weekend.
Bomaderry are runaway minor premiers and have the bye in the final round heading into the finals.
