Grand final spot on the line

29/08/2008 10:48:00 AM
A GRAND final berth in the VB South Coast Group 7 Rugby League is on the line this weekend.

In what would be a fairytale first season in the local competition, the Shoalhaven Jets are just one win away from a grand final spot.

After accounting for Milton-Ulladulla 35-18 in last weekend’s qualifying semi-final, the Jets now face minor premiers Shellharbour City in Sunday’s major semi-final at Ron Costello Oval at Shellharbour.

The winner will progress straight to this year’s season decider, which will be staged at Bill Andriske Mollymook Oval.

The Group 7 minor semi-final will be staged tomorrow at Cec Glenholmes Oval, Warilla where in first grade Warilla-Lake South, after knocking Berry-Shoalhaven Heads out of the finals race 36-28 in last week’s elimination semi will face Milton-Ulladulla.
