 Nothing wrong with our council

Nothing wrong with our council

JOHN Hatton’s letter published on Friday August 22 is just so bloody typical of the Shoalhaven Action Campaign and their supporters.

E. Crowley has expressed an opinion, one that I agree with as a resident and business owner in the area, and is told that it is “an inaccurate and dangerous view of the world”.

John, wake up. People, many people, have differing views than you and your supporters. The great contribution you have made to our society in decades past is fading into a dimmer light as you continue to harp your claims of so called injustices.

Of course, the present Shoalhaven Council has it faults and has made mistakes, something that you have personal experience of as a councillor in the 60s and 70s, over three decades ago. I have lived in and conducted business in eight different council areas, some of which have been sacked, and have not come across a better run council than Shoalhaven.

This refers to dealings with the elected council, the frontline staff and the workers of such. When people consider their options in September at the elections, they should think about some of the things E. Crowley has brought up and look at where we and our children want to be in the future and how we want to get there. Hear, hear on E. Crowley’s letter and sentiments.

P. McGroder,

Huskisson.
